Us
Our mission is to provide our much valued customers with an
amazing dining experience of exceptional food, service and friendliness!
Located at the historic Ireland Corners in Gardiner, NY, the
building was built in 1865 as a hotel which consisted of 10 rooms in its
heyday.
Construction of the aqueduct brought many out of townsmen
into the Gardiner area which made the hotel famous in its time for a place
to stay. Shortly after the hotel was built, a restaurant and bar was added
to serve the needs of all the workers.

Renovated over the years, the building became a well known
restaurant/bar with a 120 seat banquet room named Benson’s. Paul and Joan
Benson operated the restaurant successfully for over 20 years, leaving
behind a great reputation for excellent food, service and good times.
Renovated again in August of 2007, Theodore Vlamis, chef,
baker and restaurateur for over 35 years and son George Vlamis,
advertising/marketing expert, mixologist and operational manager set forth
to reinvent the restaurant. Currently operating as The Gold Fox Restaurant,
the establishment offers an array of American Cuisine, specializing in
fish, pasta, seafood and meats. All products are fresh, hand bought by
George and the Chef, all sauces are made to order and all desserts are
homemade. With one of the largest liquor selections in the Hudson Valley,
The Gold Fox can make almost any specialty martini in the book while
offering many choices of single malt scotches.
Complimenting the restaurant, the bar features bands and
karaoke many weekends of the month. And remember, The Gold Fox is a great
place to service any party needs up to 120 people in our spacious banquet
room with private bar and dance floor.
